Goresdh Kernow is the annual gathering of the Bards of Cornwall. This year, for the first time since 1984, the Gorsedh takes place in Callington (Kelliwik) and will be celebrated with a week of Cornish cultural events, including music, poetry, art, dance and drama.
This Year:
A week long celebration of Cornish history, culture and identity from 31st August 2024 to 8th September 2024 in Callington, Cornwall / Kelliwik, Kernow, including the Gorsedh Kernow Bardic Ceremony on Saturday 7th September.
We have a full programme of events this year for the Esedhvos Kernow Festival of Cornish Culture from Saturday 31st August to Sunday 8th September, including the bardic ceremony on Saturday 7th September.
Gorsedh Ceremony
The main Gorsedh ceremony will be held on Saturday 7 September 2024 at 2.00 pm, on the sports field at Callington Community College. The wet weather venue would be the main hall in the college.
