The Prim-Raf Theatre is a small 58 seat theatre in the centre of Callington. Hosting many productions each year, including music nights.

The Prim-Raf Theatre in Callington, Cornwall, is a cherished local venue. Its history began in 1949 as an amateur dramatics collaboration between Callington Primary School and the local RAF branch

Cast & Crew

Your local theatre needs volunteers, volunteers are how we manage to run shows and events at the Prim-Raf Theatre here in Callington. You will make new friends with our existing cast, and backstage members as well as getting hands on experience running shows.

New people are always welcome to join us at the theatre, either on or off the stage. Roles range from set painting, backstage work, make-up and wardrobe to directing a show

Hire the building

The theatre is available for hire, for both touring acts and private functions.

The theatre has recently been hired for a private wedding reception. The downstairs with food and drinks, with the Theatre serving drinks from the bar and upstairs the chairs packed away making room for guests wanting to dance to the entertainment on the stage. The theatre is also being hired for a comedy night (8th August 2026) hosted by Lost Surfers cocktail cafe, to a sell out audience..

Hire Costumes

The theatre has a massive collection of costumes, which are available to hire both to individuals or to other theatre companies. From spiderman and superman to truly unique one of a kind items. If you need a costume or outfit for a party, show, play or any other event where you need a costume. Do get in contact with the theatre and see if they can sort something for you.
